Homemade cheesy sausage rolls with Sriracha dip
For the sausage rolls:
400g ready rolled puff pastry
1 egg, beaten
1 cup caramelized onions
1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
2 Tbs sesame seeds
For the Sriracha dip:
¼ cup mayonnaise
¼ cup sour cream
Squeeze Sriracha sauce
Preheat oven to 180C.
Cut the pastry into 4 equal pieces.
Brush the edges of the pastry with egg wash.
Spread the caramelized onto the center of the pastry pieces then sprinkle with cheese.
Remove the casings from the sausages, then press two sausages together to make one thick sausage.
Place the thick sausages on top of the cheese then roll to encase with the pastry.
Brush the sausage rolls with more egg wash, then sprinkle with sesame seeds before placing onto a greased baking tray.
Bake in a hot oven for 20 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown and crispy.
